Together for a greener Bengal, and a healthier planet.
The Centre for Ecological Movement (CEMO) works across Bengal's schools, wetlands and villages — educating the next generation, protecting wildlife, and defending the water bodies our cities depend on.
A movement powered by people who care about the earth.
Established in 2003–04 and registered in 2006, CEMO is a non-governmental organisation (with 80G) dedicated to environmental awareness and to projects that connect individuals and institutions passionate about ecological conservation.
- Eco-education in urban, suburban & rural schools — our best success story
- Wildlife protection: peacocks, open-billed storks, tigers & migratory birds
- Defending wetlands — from the Sunderbans to Rabindra Sarovar

What our community says
CEMO's water conservation programme changed how our students think about every drop. The sessions are engaging, practical and completely free for the school.
Working with CEMO on the bio-toilet project in Purulia showed us what a small, dedicated team can achieve in a village when they truly listen to the community.
From the Walk to Save the Tiger to the protest for Rabindra Sarovar — CEMO has been showing up for Bengal's environment for two decades. Proud to volunteer.
