This year CEMO joined citizens of Kolkata in a determined protest to protect Rabindra Sarovar, a much-loved lake and a vital green lung for the city. Water bodies like the Sarovar regulate temperature, recharge groundwater, and give lakhs of citizens a place to breathe.
The fight for our lakes and wetlands is a fight for the city itself. From Santraganchi Jheel to the East Kolkata Wetlands, CEMO continues to campaign for the waters Bengal depends on.
